Delays expected as roadworks begin on Black Horse Hill

Roadworks are due to begin tomorrow on Black Horse Hill, in West Kirby.

Road closures will be in place between Column Road and Saughall Massie Road for resurfacing work.

The work is expected to take up to eight days in total.

Wirral Council warned road users to expect moderate delays while the work gets underway.

It is the first of a series of road closures planned in and around West Kirby for resurfacing work. these include:

  • Road closures will be in place on Caldy Road, between Croft Drive and Caldy Wood,  from August 1st for six days.
  • Sandy Lane, between Riverside and Ludlow Drive, will be undergoing resurfacing work from August 1st for seven days.
  • Anglesey Road, between Bridge Road and Greenback Road, from August 3rd for seven days and temporary traffic signals will be in operation between 9.30am and 3.30pm at the busy junction of Grange Road and Dee Lane from August 5th.
  • Temporary traffic signals will be in operation at The Kings Gap roundabout, in Hoylake, for two weeks from July 27th for urgent sewer repairs.
