Police have launched an investigation after a designer boutique in West Kirby was broken into.

Nancie Henry, on Grange Road, was targeted in the early hours of Monday morning.

The shop window was badly damaged during the incident and was partially boarded up this morning.

A short statement from Merseyside Police said: ‘On Monday 22nd August at 3:40am, a shop in Grange Road, West Kirby was broken into.

‘If you saw or heard anything at this time please called 101.’

This is not the first time the shop, which stocks exclusive brands such as Canada Goose, John Smedley, Crombie, Carven and J Brand. has been targeted. In April this year, the shop window was also smashed.

Nancie Henry has an illustrious heritage with family connections to the famous George Henry Lee department store.

The designer boutique is run by the grandson of Nancie Henry, who was the wife of Brendan Henry, who ran the iconic Liverpool store.
