A floral design group will be leaving random gifts of bouquets around West Kirby — for you to adopt and take home or pass on to a friend.

The Lonely Bouquet project is part of a new, contemporary flower show which will take place at the recently refurbished United Reformed Church later this month.

The idea first started in Belgium about five years ago and encourages people to participate by leaving random gifts of flowers around their communities.

It is part of the “New Beginnings” show, which has been organised by local floral designer Elizabeth Lindsay.

She has worked with a team of award-winning flower arrangers to create a series of exhibits to enhance the new space.

The “New Beginnings” show opens to the public on Saturday 17th September from 10am – 5pm and continues on Sunday afternoon from 1pm – 4pm.

Admission is by programme which costs £3.
