Earlier this month, acclaimed London-based chefs Patrick Bingley and Glyn Gordon brought their seasonal British-style cooking to West Kirby for one night only.

West 34, on Banks Road, welcomed the guest chefs for a kitchen takeover event, which was documented in these stunning, behind-the-scenes, photos.

Patrick began his career at Rick Stein’s, The Seafood Restaurant, in Padstow as well as spending time at The Ledbury, Hedone and The Fat Duck.

Glyn worked under Simon Rogan at both L’Enclume and Fera at Claridges.

Both with a Michelin-starred background, the chefs now collaborate on their new project ‘Eaten Alive’, which specialises in the production of kimchi and other raw fermented products for selected restaurant and retailers.

West 34, which is owned by husband and wife team Billy and Victoria Preston, opened earlier this year on the former site of Scogs.

It’s menu was designed by celebrity chef Mark Broadbent, whose illustrious career spans 28 years working in five star hotels and 2 star Michelin restaurants, including his tenure as head chef at London’s Bluebird Dining Room.

He also starred in the BBC’s Great British Menu challenge winning the Regional Northern Champion position over world-renowned Marcus Wareing.
