The latest addition to West Kirby’s thriving restaurant scene opens its doors tonight.

Wolf & Lamb, in Banks Road, is the brainchild of West Kirby local, Tom Robinson-Parsons, who has completely transformed the former site of Curios into a bright, modern restaurant with an industrial style decor.

He said: “The idea to open the restaurant has been in the pipeline for a while now.

“West Kirby is becoming a real, hidden gem for great, independent restaurants and bars and I hope we can add to the thriving scene that is springing up here.”

Tom has led the renovation of the restaurant alongside local company, KCI building services.

He added: “Everything is bespoke including tables made from scaffold poles, an exposed copper pipe heating system and filtered water, which is piped directly to every table.”

Tom is delighted for the opportunity to work with acclaimed French chef Ivan Duchene.

Duchene, honed his craft worldwide from the legendary L’Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc, under chef Arnaud Poete to his Star Michelin experience via London, Paris, Luxembourg and Jakarta.

He will be working alongside sous chef, Cuchi ‘Kuki’ Izquierdo, who was most recently Chef-Patron at the resplendent Kuki’s, which was previously at this site.

Tom is also keen for the restaurant to play a part in the local community. He will be providing free beer to the volunteer crew members of the West Kirby RNLI after their monthly crew nights and is also offering 10% discounts to all RNLI volunteers & NHS staff.

On August 19, he is launching a monthly litter pick with Surfers Against Sewage meeting at the Marine Lake Car Park at 10am.

All the litter pickers will be rewarded with a free meal back at Wolf & Lamb following the event.

Wolf & Lamb, will be open from Thursday to Sunday , from 6.30pm – midnight. For more information or to make a booking visit www.wolfandlamb.org or email info@wolfandlamb.org
