Gang steal bike from teenage boy in Hoylake

Detectives are appealing for information after a teenage boy had his bike stolen by a gang in Hoylake.

It happened on North Parade on Thursday, 17 January, at around 6.15pm – but details have only just been released.

The 14-year-old victim was with friends near to the Lifeboat station, when a small black Vauxhall car pulled up and three men got out, while the driver remained inside.

The culprits, all aged around 18, threatened the boy and demanded his bike.

The boy dropped it before the offender rode off on it, leaving the teenager shaken by the ordeal.

Officers are examining CCTV from the area and are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or who has any information about it, to call 101 or contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
