Changes to council services over the festive season

Christmas is almost upon us, meaning changes to some council services.

This year, Monday 27 December, Tuesday 28 December and Monday 3 January are Bank Holidays due to Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day falling on a weekend.

We’ve taken a look at what is and isn’t affected.

Bins

There are no changes to collections this year.

Leave your bin out at 7am on the usual day and they will take away all of your Christmas leftovers and wrapping paper.

Libraries

West Kirby Library will close on Friday 24 December at 5pm and reopens on Tuesday 4 January.

Closes at 4pm on Friday 24 December, reopening on Wednesday 29 December.

Shuts at 4pm on Friday 31 December and is closed on Saturday 1 January and Bank Holiday Monday 3 January.

Closed from Saturday 25 December, reopening on Wednesday 29 December.

Closed on Saturday 1 January and Bank Holiday Monday 3 January.

Wirral Watersports Centre

Closes at 4pm on Friday 24 December and reopens on Wednesday 29 December.

Closes at 4pm on Friday 31 December and is shut on Saturday 1 January and Bank Holiday Monday 3 January.

One Stop Shops

The One Stop Shop appointment helpline closes at 5pm on Friday 24 December and reopens at 9am on Tuesday 4 January.
