A West Kirby party shop is set to close its doors this Easter and relaunch as an online-only business.
Party Paraphernalia, on Banks Road, has been open since 2010 selling party wares, including fancy dress outfits and novelty helium balloons.
It is well-known locally for the balloon sculptures which stand outside the shop and prove a popular photo attraction.
Katherine Nield, owner of Party Paraphernalia, said: “I have had the shop for almost 6 years. I took over the shop in August 2010 when I moved back to West Kirby from abroad.
“In this time I have attended many training courses and decorated many events. I have developed a real passion for creating balloon decor for special occasions and events.
“Now I want to be able to develop this further. I want to be able to design more elaborate and more customised room decor for customers and this involves being able to go and visit their venues and discuss their events and ideas in detail and give each customer more time and attention. Moving the business online will allow me the freedom to do this.”
The shop, which is due to shut over the Easter weekend, is running a closing down sale over the next few weeks.
Katherine added: “In the run up to the last day we will be running lots and lots of offers.
“To start with we have 25% off all our adult and children’s packaged costumes, perfect in time for World Book day on 3rd March.”
Katherine is launching two new websites, an online fancy dress store www.partyparaphernalia.co.uk and a party balloon website www.wirralballooncompany.co.uk
