Volunteers are being sought to help out at this year’s Festival of Firsts event in West Wirral.
The community arts festival, which is the brainchild of John Gorman, the former Tiswas star and member of 60s band Scaffold, who had a number one with Lily the Pink, is now in its fifth year.
The Wirral Festival of Firsts 2016 will take place between the 9th & 23rd of July at various venues in and around West Kirby, Hoylake and Meols.
Charles Lea, one of the event organisers, said: “Wirral Festival of Firsts have been very busy organising some fantastic events for this year and now we need some fantastic people to help run them.
“Being a volunteer can be a really enjoyable hobby and you can also learn some good skills and gain valuable experience too.
“Without our volunteers we will not be able to run all our events so we will really appreciate it if you can help.”
A volunteer training session will take place on Wednesday 29 June at Nine Leaves in Hoylake between 7pm to 8.30pm.
If you would like to get involved as a volunteer for this year’s festival please contact Charlie Lea charleslea18@yahoo.co.uk and advise what session you would like to attend.
Some volunteers will need to have an enhanced DBS certificate. The Festival organisers can also apply for this on behalf of the volunteers.
