A woman in her 40s was taken to hospital this morning following an incident on Grange Road, in West Kirby.
Emergency services, including an air ambulance, were called to reports of what police described as “concern for the safety of a woman”.
Witnesses said several police cars and an ambulance were called to the scene and the road was briefly closed to traffic.
A spokeswoman for Merseyside Police said: “We can confirm officers attended a report of concern for the safety of a woman in Wirral today (Thursday 26 September).
“A report was received of concern for a woman in her 40s at a property on Grange Road. Officers attended just before 10.45am and paramedics also attended.
“The woman was taken by ambulance to hospital for medical treatment.”
