Anchor Inn gets revamp with new interior and menu

The historic Anchor Inn pub in Irby reopens on Saturday (October 26) following a major revamp.

Originally built as a cottage in the 17th century, the interior of the listed building has been transformed – with owners Mitchells and Butlers saying they have taken inspiration from other luxury country dining venues around the UK.

It has also introduced a brand-new menu of dishes to “deliver a refreshing country dining experience, featuring delicious flavours, inspired by the seasons, and the best the countryside has to offer”.

It is part of a major investment by the company, which is currently upgrading its pubs at the rate of one a week.

General Manager, Dale Tozer, told West Kirby Today: “The Anchor Inn is a hugely popular pub and provides a hub for the local community, so we’re really excited to be part of the team as it begins its next chapter.

“We have made some stunning changes that have allowed us to create a modern, open and stylish look and feel to the pub – making it the ideal spot for friends and family to get together. We have loved unveiling the brand-new pub to guests!”
