West Kirby Grammar School and Calday Grange Grammar School have been ranked in the top schools in the UK.
According to the Sunday Times, the schools were ranked 8th and 17th in the best schools in the Northwest. Nationally they ranked at 87th and 198th.
This latest edition of the Sunday Times Parent Power guide identifies the 2,000 highest-achieving schools in the UK, ranked by their recent examination results.
Other Wirral schools mentioned in the top 20 include, Wirral Grammar School For Girls (ranked 10th in the Northwest and 103rd nationally ), St Anselm’s College, in Birkenhead (ranked 18th in the Northwest and 244th nationally).
The Parent Power tables are divided into independent and state schools.
In the independent school tables, Birkenhead School ranked 15th in the Northwest and nationally it was ranked 200th.
