The annual Wirral Open Studio Tour sees artists across the borough invite the public to visit their studios, workshops and display spaces.
When the owners of Staacks Gallery, in West Kirby, discovered that this year’s event had been cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic, they came to the rescue.
From Thursday July 2nd, they will be hosting an exhibition featuring Wirral Open Studio Tour artists. 40 of the artists, who would have been opening their studios this year, will have work on display.
A spokesperson for the event said: “We know this is not quite the same for you as visiting a studio to see how pieces are created, but it will give you a little taster of our work, enable you to discover new artists and may even help you to decide which studios you would like to visit next year.
“We encourage you as an art lover to go along to view the exhibition, support your local artists and also support one of our valuable local independent galleries.”
The gallery has been deep cleaned and rearranged inside to facilitate a one-way system. In accordance with guidelines, numbers inside the gallery will be limited.
Opening Times: 2nd July – 31st July, Monday to Saturday 10am – 4pm.
