A man has been rescued from Hilbre Island by the RNLI after falling and breaking his arm.
The incident happened on Thursday night at Little Eye when he slipped on muddy rocks.
On Facebook, West Kirby RNLI said: “He was in severe pain from a badly broken arm. He was assessed and given pain medication prior to moving him.
“We then used the D-Class ILB as a stretcher to get him ashore. There we were met by NWAS [North West Ambulance Service] and Wirral Coastguard Rescue Team. These guys went into professional overdrive and got the casualty out of the boat and away to hospital in the blink of an eye. Amazing to watch.”
They wished the patient luck with his recovery.
