Wirral and Crosby Coastguard have carried out an emergency training exercise on Hilbre Island.
They used actors to create the scenario on Sunday 9 March, which featured multiple ‘casualties’ and was observed by Merseyside Police.

“A big thanks to the Merseyside Police officers who attended as observers.”
Also on Sunday, West Kirby RNLI were called to reports of a missing child on Hilbre Island, but fortunately they were found before they arrived. However they did find a casualty with a sprained ankle on the foreshore.
