A children’s nursery in West Kirby which has been going for more than 30 years is to close down later this month.
St Agnes pre-school on Darmonds Green will close its doors on 18 July.
In a post on their Facebook page, they said: “As you can imagine this has been a difficult and sad decision for us to make after all these years, and has not been taken lightly. St Agnes Not-For-Profit Pre School has served the community for over 30 years.
“The main reason we have decided to close is because we are a group of mature women of retirement age or near to retirement age. (Many of us are now grandparents).
“This decision has been particularly tough for all of us as we have cherished the lovely strong relationships we have built and nurtured with each and every child, families and community groups throughout the years.
“We have assured our parents that until we finish, we will continue to provide all children with our high level of teaching and care. And support and nurture all our families to the best of our ability.
“We would like to take this opportunity to wish our parents current and past and all the children well and thank you all for entrusting your precious little ones with us over the years.”
