The annual West Kirby Boxing Day dip is to take place on the marine lake.
Hundreds of people brave the cold at 10am on 26 December each year to raise money for charity.
This year those taking part are being asked to donate to West Kirby and Hoylake RNLI and the UTS Foundation, which supports cancer sufferers getting back to normality and a healthy lifestyle.
There will be buckets and card machines for people to donate on the day, and organisers are asking for a minimum of £5 per person.
Organiser Kim Matthews said on Facebook: “This is not an organised event so people do it as their own risk but we do it to try and raise as much money as we can for charity.
“Last year we broke £1,200 which is amazing and it would be great to beat that this year.”
