A West Kirby shop is to feature on the BBC Celebrity Antiques Road Trip show for the second time.
Desdemona Postlethwaite Antiques and Collectables, on Banks Road, will appear on Celebrity Antiques Road Trip on BBC2 TV in a new series starting in September.
The owner of the shop, Pat Gray and her husband, Bob Gray were visited in June by TV presenter Lynn Faulds Wood and antiques expert Thomas Plant.
Just 18 months ago, the shop featured on the popular TV series for the first time.
Mrs Gray, who has been in the antiques trade for 12 years, said: “We’ll definitely be watching it.”
In the programme, Lynn is in competition with her husband, award-winning journalist and TV presenter, John Stapleton.
With the help of Thomas, Lynn selected four items from the shop to auction.
The items included: An Edwardian Art Nouveau Gold & Peridot Necklace, an Indian silver circular dish, an oil on board painting in gilt frame depicting ‘Infant Hercules strangling serpents in his cradle’ after Sir Joshua Reynolds, and a treen spade.
The shop was opened by Mrs Gray three years ago. Before this, she worked from home but had to move, as she had begun to run out of space for all of her collections.
Mrs Gray added: “It’s such a nice community to be part of and the people of West Kirby have been lovely and very supportive.”
Desdemona Postlethwaite Antiques also have units at the well-known Bygone Times Antique Centre in Eccleston, near Chorley and also have their own web site.
