Parade to take place in Hoylake for annual Wirral Festival of Firsts

Crowds are expected to gather in Hoylake this Saturday for the annual Carnival Parade to celebrate Wirral’s Festival of Firsts.

The community-based arts festival was launched in 2011 and sees 37 events taking place across the Wirral throughout July.

A number of road closures will be in place on Saturday in Hoylake between 1.30pm and 3.30pm as the parade travels from Hoylake Roundabout to Queen’s Park.

Market Street and Birkenhead Road from Hoylake Roundabout to Queen’s Park will be closed to all through traffic in both directions from 1.30-3.30pm on Saturday 16th July to enable everyone join in the parade. Vehicles will not be able to enter on to Market Street / Birkenhead Road (as far as Queens Park) from any of the side roads.
