A West Kirby schoolboy has become a national finalist at the ‘Big Bang’ science competition.

Birkenhead High sixth form student Connor McCormick, along with his fellow team mates Nathan Bramwell, Paul Gogerty and Otto Dawes qualified for the final at the North West heat.

The event took place at the Exhibition Centre, Liverpool, earlier this month, where the four were judged on their project ‘To Bleach Or Not To Bleach’. The students took inspiration for their project from claims made by cleaning adverts.
