A woman suffered minor injuries after a robbery at Hickory’s Smokehouse on Thursday evening.
The duty manageress was injured after robbers stormed her office at around 11.30pm and stole a large quantity of cash.
Police are now appealing to the public to help them track down the suspects.
A spokesperson for Hickory’s Smokehouse said: “We are all very shocked and saddened by the incident.
“Our first concern is for our loyal team members who were caught up in this event and we are making sure that they receive all the support necessary at this time.
“We are working closely with colleagues at Merseyside Police and would urge anyone who thinks they might have any information that could assist the inquiry to come forward.”
A spokeswoman for Merseyside Police said: “I can confirm that a robbery took place at Hickory’s Smokehouse, Village Road, West Kirby, Wirral, during the late hours of Thursday 13th October 2016.
“At around 11.30pm, a report was received of suspects entering the manager’s office within the restaurant and stealing a quantity of cash, prior to making good their escape. The duty manageress sustained minor injuries during the incident.”
