The lead singer of rock band, The Virginmarys, is to perform a free gig in West Kirby exchange for food donations.

Ally Dickaty will perform at his The People Help The People gig, which takes place at West Kirby Arts Centre on Sunday December 4 from 3pm-6pm.

The event is free and tickets are given in exchange for a bag of shopping which will be handed over to the Wirral Food Bank.

Tony Woof, from West Kirby Arts Centre, said: “We are also opening the centre for the week beforehand as a drop off centre if anyone would like to donate food for the food bank.”
