The owners of a 1920s speakeasy serving more than 100 gins and a luxury cocktail menu are opening a second bar in West Kirby.

Matt and Hannah Whitby, who opened the first Blind pig on Telegraph Road in Heswall just 18 months ago, say the bar has been a “runaway success”.

The second Blind Pig will open on Banks Road in the former Whitmore & White shop this Friday (18th October).

Matt said: “The new Bling Pig will be unlike any other bar the lovely town has seen before.

“We’re counting down the days until we open, make new friends and work alongside our neighbours to provide a great day or night out for everybody who visits West Kirby.”

The married couple and successful entrepreneurs are in the midst of a refurbishment adding quirky prohibition-themed fixtures to the new two-floor bar serving weird and wonderful gins and cocktails created by the bar’s mixologists.

Blind Pig West Kirby will open on Friday ahead of a major star and multi-platinum-selling artist from New York City performing at a VIP launch party in November.
