West Kirby Library is promising ‘witches, ghosts and things that go bump in the night’ when renowned storyteller, John Kirk, visits this Halloween.
In his inimitable style, John will be telling a range of spooky stories to children aged between five and nine at 11.30am on Thursday 31 October.
John describes himself as a ‘performance storyteller’: “This means I have a dynamic and enjoyable style of presentation; I use my face and body to tell stories and like my audience to participate as much as possible,” he says.
“I love telling stories to young people. I believe that I bring stories to life in fresh and imaginative ways and that in doing so I introduce children to new stories, I get children excited about stories, I encourage listening and participation and I inspire children to read and to create their own stories.”
Tickets are £1.50 per child and are available here. Accompanying adults go free.
