The Ring O’Bells has been bought by a company which also runs three other Wirral pubs.

Stange and Co has a number of establishments across Wirral and North Wales, including the Jug and Bottle in Heswall, The Ship in Parkgate and the Fox and Hounds in Barnston.

They have revealed they plan a comprehensive refurbishment which means the pub will be shut for a number of months.

Dan McLennan, Managing Director, told West Kirby Today: “We are really excited to finally announce that we have acquired The Ring O’Bells in West Kirby.

“We think that it is a perfect fit for Stange and Co. and very much look forward to becoming part of the West Kirby community.

“We will be closed for a number of months whilst the old girl receives a comprehensive but sympathetic refurbishment but with a following wind we hope to be back open at the end of the year.”
