A charity which provides home cooked meals for homeless people is appealing for help from local restaurants in West Kirby.

Wirral’s Homeless CIC runs a group called Homeless Angels, which sees volunteers cooking 20 meals per day for people in need.

However, due to the coronavirus stockpiling the group are struggling to get enough ingredients to cook the meals.

West Kirby-based Karen Beddow, who is a volunteer for the charity and also runs the award-winning blog Mini Travellers, said: “We have people still willing and able to cook but they can’t get food.

“I want to ask any local restaurants who find themselves with too much food that they can’t use to get in touch with me.”
