New data from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) has revealed there were no deaths in West Kirby linked to coronavirus recorded in June.
A map has revealed there were a total of 6 deaths in West Kirby recorded as involving coronavirus between March 1st and June 30th and registered by July 11th.
But broken down on a month-by-month basis, the figures – released today – showed that the virus peaked in West Kirby in April, when 5 deaths were recorded, followed by 1 in May and no deaths in June.
In Hoylake, a total of 26 deaths were recorded as involving coronavirus between March 1st and June 30th and in Caldy & Newton, there were 6 deaths.
The figures exclude deaths of non-residents and include deaths where coronavirus was the underlying cause or was mentioned on the death certificate as a contributory factor.
