Merseyrail services return to pre-pandemic levels from Monday 2 May.

Trains from West Kirby to Liverpool and back will run every 15 minutes between approximately 7am and 7pm from Monday to Saturday.

It replaces the existing 20 minute service which has been running in recent months.

A 30 minute service will continue to operate first thing in the morning and of an evening, and all day on Sundays.

On their website, Merseyrail said: “During the COVID-19 pandemic Merseyrail services were reduced due to the impact the virus had on staffing numbers, however, we are pleased to announce the return of the pre-COVID 15 minute timetable.”
