Wirral Earth Festival is taking place on Saturday 16 September at St Bridget’s Church Fields in West Kirby.
The free event is described as a ‘celebration of creativity, community, and care for our planet’ and is organised by local voluntary group, Transition Town West Kirby.
There’ll be a day of entertainment suitable for all the family including:
- Art installations and workshops run by local artists
- Storytelling and spoken word
- Two music stages
- A ‘healing field’ with massage, treatments, and women’s circle
- A vintage apple press and people-powered smoothie bike
Local community groups will also be letting visitors learn more about how they can get involved caring for wildlife, the environment and each other, and there will be a range of stalls selling handcrafted items and local produce.
Festival organiser, Emily Shah, said: “We can’t wait to bring Wirral Earth Festival back to West Kirby for its eighth successful year.
“It’s all too easy to feel overwhelmed by the climate crisis. We welcome visitors to come along for the entertainment and leave inspired by the joyfulness that comes from caring for the Earth in a creative and community-focused way.”
