One of West Kirby’s most popular restaurants has closed for refurbishment.

Hickory’s on Village Road has been open for a decade, and is now undergoing a refresh.

In a post on their Facebook page, they said: “We’ve had an incredible 10 years & can’t thank you enough for all your support, but it’s now time for a refresh.

“We’ll be closed from Monday 8th Jan until 3pm on Tuesday 23rd Jan – keep an eye out for updates.”

The firm, which has 20 sites across the UK, opened its first venue in Chester in 2010 and was acquired by Greene King in 2022.
