The owners of one of West Kirby’s longest established restaurants are to close it for a major revamp which will see it relaunched with a different name and a new concept.
Karma on Grange Road, which has been open since 2002, will shut on 24 March, to make way for a new concept called ‘chaat’, focusing on Indian tapas thalis and cocktails.
In a post on Facebook, they said: “We’re excited to announce that we’ll be giving the place a huge revamp, an injection of life, a fresh start and transforming it into a new Indian Tapas + Bar and will be opening very soon.
In an earlier post, they said: “After 22 years of trading I can definitely say that it’s stood the test of time with more highs and some lows. We feel that’s the time has come for a change which hasn’t been an easy decision to make but one that needs to be done.
“One thing I can truly say is that the loyalty and support whether it was from staff members, guests, suppliers and so on has led to a lot of great memories and genuine friendships and it’s something that we are truly grateful for.
“If anyone has got any gift vouchers then please do try to use them up or get in touch.
“I’ll leave you with the biggest thank you to everyone who’s supported us and kept us going for the last 22 years and we appreciate you all and folks.”
