West Kirby Grammar School is to hold an election hustings featuring all of the candidates standing for the parliamentary seat of Wirral West.
The ticketed event is taking place on Thursday 27 June at 6pm, and will be hosted by former chair of Governors and broadcaster, Sheila McClennon.

The school said: “The panel will be encouraged to give their viewpoints in response to the questions submitted by the audience prior to the debate, and further responses from the audience will be sought.
“The debate will provide an opportunity for local people to engage in political discussion ahead of a General Election that is likely to be significant due to the current political climate and issues that are dominating local politics in Wirral.”
The candidates taking part (in surname order) are:
- Ken Ferguson – Reform UK
- Gail Jenkinson – Green Party
- Jenny Johnson – Conservative & Unionist Party
- Matthew Patrick – Labour Party
- Peter Reisdorf – Liberal Democrats
