A West Kirby burger bar has announced it won’t be reopening.

The Good Hood on Banks Road closed in February, with the owners promising they would only be shut for “a few weeks” while the team helped support the opening of a new branch in Southport.

In March, they pledged they would be back in the summer “fresher and funkier than ever”.

But now they have revealed they won’t be reopening the unit.

In a post on their Facebook page, they said: “Unfortunately, our OG spot in West Kirby’s Good Hood won’t be making a comeback.

“We’re shifting focus to our 2 other thriving locations and cooking up something special for our third site, coming very soon.

“The delicious adventure continues at our New Brighton and Southport spots! Swing by for the same great vibes as they are even tastier.”

They have thanked customers for “the memories, good times and valued custom” and have urged anyone interested in taking the site over to get in touch.
