The operators of West Kirby Iberian bar and grill, BoBo are to open another venue early next year.

The firm says the success and experience of operating their first restaurant has given them the confidence to open an even bigger venue, joining the growing line-up of restaurants at the new Chester Northgate development.

The 120-cover eatery in the city’s new food and leisure destination will be the group’s third venue following their West Kirby launch last August and earlier BoBo wine bar, tasca and charcuteria on Castle Street, Liverpool.

At Chester Northgate on Princess Street, BoBo will join the likes of Cosy Club, Zizzi, North Light and Bridge Street Coffee and Bakery with a 3000 sq ft prominent corner plot next to the new Chester Market and Picturehouse Cinema.

Josh Moore, BoBo Group director, said: “We have learned a lot from West Kirby BoBo, our debut bar & grill, and evolved our food offering to better suit our customers’ preferences and are now set to launch a new menu for summer later this month.

“It’s an ongoing process of improvement and refinement. Everyone loves the relaxed vibe of our award-winning Castle Street bar and we’ve been steadily recreating this in West Kirby without being intrusive to dining customers, for example, by introducing a DJ and live music on certain days. This fits in with the style we are inspired by and will inform our new venue in Chester.”
