Tickets now available for Hoylake Chamber Concert Society’s annual series

The Hague String Trio

Hoylake Chamber Concert Society has been bringing classical music to the Wirral for almost 100 years.

Their annual series of six concerts, which has been interrupted only by the two world wars and the COVID-19 pandemic, has seen internationally renowned world-class musicians and ensembles visit the peninsula.

Some recent highlights have included concerts by the Endellion String Quartet, Manchester Collective, and musicians from the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, along with performances by young rising stars such as the Mithras Trio, the Simply Quartet from Vienna, Quatuor Agate from Paris, and the Connaught Brass Quintet.

The Atenea Quartet

Based at St Hildeburgh’s Parish Church in Hoylake, Hoylake Chamber Concert Society prides itself in celebrating established and world-famous musicians, supporting the development of young artists, and making outstanding Classical chamber music accessible to an ever-wider audience.

Their 97th series of concerts begins on September 23rd 2024, with a performance by award-winning British vocal ensemble, the Gesualdo Six. This concert is special for a number of reasons.

First, it marks an exciting milestone being the first concert in the society’s history to feature a choral group.

Second, it also offers a rare opportunity to hear the Gesualdo Six perform in the North-West, and this will be their first concert on the Wirral. This concert will be followed by a drinks reception with the musicians to celebrate the launch of the society’s new season.
