TV presenter and Strictly Come Dancing star Angela Rippon has officially opened Coronation Lodge retirement apartments in West Kirby.
The Churchill Living development on Grange Road is on the site of the former Brookfield Nursing Home, which was demolished to make way for the new accommodation.
The development offers one and two bedroom apartments designed exclusively for the over 60s, starting at £280,000.
Angela Rippon said: “It was a privilege to be here for the opening of Coronation Lodge.
“I enjoyed meeting the people who are already calling it home, and seeing the beautiful apartments and strong sense of community on offer here.
“I firmly believe in the importance of staying active and engaged as we get older, so it’s great to see people embracing the next chapter of their lives on their terms by making a move that helps them to maintain their freedom and look positively to the future.”
Chairman and Chief Executive, Spencer J McCarthy, added: “I’m very proud that this is the 200th development we have built under the Churchill name, a fantastic milestone for the business.
“Since my brother Clinton and I founded the company back in 1994, Churchill has established itself as the UK’s most trusted provider of specialist housing for the over 60s, and I’d like to thank everyone who has contributed to this success over the years.”
