Almost 50 artists and makers are throwing open the doors to their homes and studios in West Kirby, Hoylake and Meols this weekend.
Wirral Open Studio Tour is now in its 15th year of celebrating visual arts, and will see artists and makers exhibiting in dozens of venues across the peninsula from 10am – 5pm on 14/15 June, with some also open from 6 – 9pm on the evening of Friday 13 June.
Painters Dennis King, Melissa Gough and Heather Davies will be at Kingsmead Studios in Kingsmead School, whilst fellow artists Fiona Philipps, Andrew McFadden and Lois Hayes-Holland will be at The Lake gallery on Grange Road in West Kirby.
The artists taking part in the event work in a variety of disciplines including painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, ceramics, glass, textiles and jewellery, and much of the work on show will be for sale.
The tour was initially set up in 2009 in Hoylake and Meols by Canadian artist Micheline Robinson as ‘Artists in Our Midst’, and quickly evolved into a Wirral-wide event.
