The volunteer crew of Hoylake lifeboat have become small screen stars.
The presenter of the Channel 5 series Coastal Adventures, Helen Skelton, spent time on board their all-weather Shannon class lifeboat.
In a Facebook post, the team said: “Our crew were thrilled to host Helen for filming of an episode of ‘Coastal Adventures with Helen, Jules & JB’ airing at 8pm on Channel 5 on Tuesday 12 August.
“Helen joined us on a training exercise to see the lifeboat and crew in action and to explore our region’s coast, including the history of the former Formby Lifeboat Station.
“There were special moments on board as we presented Helen with a commemorative RNLI teddy bear.
“And when filming overran, Helen even video called the daughter of crew member Emily Jones who was waiting ashore.”
