Terms and Conditions
1. Who can enter?
1.1 This competition is open to everyone excluding Wirral councillors, employees or contractors of the Wirral Council and companies connected with the prize, or their families.
1.2 Entrants must be 16 years and over.
1.3 Entry for this competition is free.
1.4 The competition runs until 12 noon on Monday 22ndDecember 2025 (GMT) inclusive. All competition entries received after the Closing Date are automatically disqualified.
1.5 In entering the competition, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim the prize. Wirral Council may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the competition.
1.6 By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating their agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
2. Method of entry:
2.1 Simply reply to the original competition post on Facebook, following the entry criteria set out in the post
2.2 Entries will be judged on meeting the criteria alone: any additional likes, shares or comments will not have any weighting on the prize draw. There is a single prize of four tickets to the show to give away.
3. The prize:
3.1 Entrants from Facebook and Instagram will be entered into a prize draw, with the winner drawn at random.The prize is four tickets to see ‘Sleeping Beauty’ at the Floral Pavilion in New Brighton. The winner will liaise with the box office to choose which performance to attend (subject to availability).
3.2 All prizes are non-transferable, non-refundable and there is no cash alternative. We reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.
3.3 Wirral Council is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition.
3.4 Wirral Council reserves the right to withdraw this promotion at any time without prior notice.
4. The winner:
4.1 West Kirby Today will contact the winner by messaging the competition entrant via the same source of social media which the winner entered the competition on. The winner will be notified within three working days of the closing date.
4.2 The winners must claim their prize within five days of notification. If the prize is unclaimed after this time, it will lapse and Wirral Council reserves the right to offer the unclaimed prize to an alternative entrant.
4.3 The winner must contact West Kirby Today by private/direct message via Facebook or Instagram to receive further information about their prize.
4.4 West Kirby Today’s decision is final on all matters and will not enter into any further correspondence.
4.5 West Kirby Today and Wirral Council do not accept any responsibility if you are not able to take up the prize.
5. General Rules:
5.1 The Floral Pavilion is owned and operated by Wirral Council.
5.2 Please refer to Wirral council’s Privacy Policy for further details as to how we will process your data. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation.
5.3 By running this competition we acknowledge that the competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Instagram orFacebook.
5.4 Wirral Council reserves the right to cancel, suspend or modify the competition and these terms and conditions, without notice if circumstances arise out of its control. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by West Kirby Today.
5.5 If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, West Kirby Today may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the competition.
5.6 Wirral Council and West Kirby Today are not responsible for technical errors or other occurrences which prevent the competition from running as stated.
5.7 These terms and conditions are governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
5.8 Entry into the competition will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions.
