Merseyrail is to operate a limited service between West Kirby and Liverpool on Boxing Day.
They will run every half hour from approximately 9am until 6.30pm on 26 December, calling at Leasowe, Birkenhead North, Conway Park, James Street and Liverpool Central.
Trains will finish earlier than usual on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, with the final service leaving West Kirby for Liverpool at 8pm and Moorfields to West Kirby at 8.31pm.
There will be no services on Christmas Day.
A 30 minute service will operate on New Year’s Day.
Buses
There will be no bus services to or from West Kirby on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.
Mersey Tunnel
The Birkenhead and Wallasey tunnels will be free to use from 10pm on Christmas Eve until 6am on Boxing Day.
Mersey Ferries
The ferries will not operate on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.
