Two more teenagers have been arrested following reports of disorder and assault in Caldy on Friday 16 June.
Police have also revealed they received three different reports of assaults on Cubbins Green on Friday night.
Officers were alerted just before 7.10pm that a teenage boy had been stabbed, after he was assaulted by a group of boys.
The victim was taken to hospital with stab wounds to his legs and arm. He is now recovering from his injuries at home.
On Friday evening officers arrested two suspects in connection with the incident.
A 15-year-old boy from Moreton who was arrested on suspicion of Section 18 assault, possession of a controlled class B drug (cannabis) and violent disorder has been bailed with conditions.
A 16-year-old boy from Liscard who was arrested on suspicion of Section 18 assault has been released with no further action.
On Sunday 18 June officers arrested a further two suspects.
A 17-year-old boy from Liscard was arrested on suspicion of Section 18 assault, possession of a controlled class B drug (cannabis), possession of an offensive weapon in a public place and violent disorder. He has been bailed with conditions.
A 16-year-old boy from Bidston was arrested on suspicion of conspire to cause grievous bodily harm with intent, assault, and violent disorder. He has been released under investigation.
Detectives are continuing to appeal for more information to find those responsible and appeal for people who witnessed the disorder and assaults taking place on Cubbins Green to come forward.
Detective Inspector Emma Kerrigan said: “This was a frightening and reckless stabbing on a teenage boy who needed medical treatment, thankfully he did not sustain life threatening injuries.
“We received three different reports of assaults which took place on Cubbins Green on Friday night.
“I would urge anyone who was in the area who witnessed or filmed the stabbing or any of the assaults on your phone then please contact us so we can find those responsible and bring them to justice.
“The use of knives and any weapons is reckless and will not be tolerated, and has no place on our streets. Weapons such as this can have devastating consequences, not only for the victim and their family but also for the offenders involved.
“I would urge people to educate themselves and speak to their children and family members about the dangers of knife crime.”
